Sharon Isaac asks:
I am basically from India migrated to Israel about 4 years back I
have done my graduation, and post graduation in commerce.
Our query is we are deciding to migrate To Canada for better prospects. Here in
Israel I follow the Jewish religion I mean Teffllin everyday going for
prayers on Sabbath and high holidays attending Arvith in the evening if I
get time.
I have got more attached to this if I skip I feel incomplete. Even my wife she
follows mikvah and reads Tehellim every day.
Since we in a deciding stage will it be ok and acceptable according to the laws
some people say it is wrong to leave Israel. Please advise us in this regard.
Will I be able to continue my religious practice in Canada? I am worried that I
should not discontinue.
Your compliance will be highly appreciated.

Dear Sharon,
It is not "wrong" to leave Israel the place, but it would be terrible for you,
as a devout Jew to leave Israel in your heart and soul.
Canada has a very large Jewish population and, in many places, a very devout
one. I suggest that you do some research into which cities or provinces have a
Jewish population that observes, somewhat, in the manner that you do and, then,
make your choice of where to go based on that. As a professional, you should
have no problem finding suitable employment.
Good luck to you and your family. |
