Shalom My Gantseh Megillah Family and Friends,
This is going to be a short, and sweet message, for what more can I possibly
hope to do, than to convey Arnold’s and my deepest and most sincere and
heartfelt wishes to all of you and your loved ones for a happy, peaceful and
most of all, healthy New Year?
Every year we send similar sentiments to everyone we know and love. These
expressions are sincere, but wouldn’t it be better if we could send a message
that says: “May the coming year be as wonderful, and peaceful as the year just
past?”
That is a tall order, but it is not impossible.
I am writing this message on Sept. 11th, which, of course, is a significant date
to all of us. It is also the day after Sept. 10th, which, this year, marked the
24th anniversary of Arnold’s and my unification ceremony. So, I am filled with
mixed emotions of both joy and sadness.
Along with our wishes and hopes for a better and more peaceful New Year, we must
also actively find ways to ensure it. Instead of finding fault with others, we
should reach out in areas of mutual understanding. Many problems in the world
stem from religious and ethnic issues, so we should search to comprehend the
identities and beliefs of our fellow human beings. Better understanding will
develop richer relationships.
On a continuing personal note, many of our Megillah family have opened
themselves to us, and brought great encouragement and love into our lives, and
for this Arnold and I are tremendously grateful. It is our hope that we have
added something positive to your life as well.
We’re looking forward to a wonderful 5768 in which our Megillah family can grow
and thrive.
L’shana Tova.
Michael
