Home in Sarasota

Megillah family emeritus, Sonia Pressman Fuentes has made her yearly journey from Potomac, Maryland to the warmer climes of Sarasota, Florida and arrived safe and sound.  It always amazes me to try to keep track of the ubiquitous Ms. Fuentes who has more energy, stamina, chutzpah and determination than most people that are not even close to retirement age. (How's that for diplomacy?)

I make special mention of this event simply because in the years I have come to know Sonia and been privileged to call her "friend" she has been an inspiration to me and my work on the Megillah and a true source of inspiration in my life.  Knowing Sonia as I do, she will not be spending her warm winter days in Florida lolling by the pool and soaking up the sun on a daily basis.  She is more likely to be seeking out ways in which she can be of help to her community and friends who always miss her when she returns North in the spring.

Have a terrific winter, Sonia; you deserve it.

Michael
