Why join The Compassionate Journey?

We invite you to participate in a heart opening Compassionate Listening delegation, a program for those who carry the generational and collective wounds of WWII and the Holocaust. The Compassionate Journey is for you, if you are ready to face these wounds – not alone, but together as members of the delegation. Together, we will create a pathway for healing and reconciliation. We will build deep connections for a lasting peace.

Delegation:

We invite participants from all nations and backgrounds, who have a genuine interest in reconciliation, personal healing and peace making. The Compassionate Journey will be an intensive training in Compassionate Listening and personally healing as well. We will listen to each other and to Jewish and German survivors. Through our touring of memorial sites, we will gain a deeper understanding of what took place and what is being done today so that this never happens again. You will come away with a deep compassion for our shared humanity and powerful peace-making skills applicable in daily life.

Delegation Leaders:

Brian and Lisa Berman are a married Jewish German couple. We are both certified Compassionate Listening facilitators and have been leading Compassionate Listening workshops and Jewish-German Reconciliation work in Germany and the USA since 2002.

Program Cost:

$1330 ($1250 if registered before January 15th, 2008), which includes facilitation, Compassionate Listening training, guided tours, and most meals (organic/natural foods specially prepared for us). Full payment is due by March 13, 2008.

Lodging and transportation to Berlin are additional and paid individually. Our meeting room and accommodations are in the mitArt-Hotel in the former Jewish Quarter, and surrounded by Jewish life today. We highly recommend our delegation staying together at the mitArt-Hotel. Participants get a double occupancy room rate of 481.25* Euros which includes a full breakfast. Single rooms are available for 685.30* Euro.

* Hotel room price will reduce by 10% when we book at least 8 rooms.
