Dear Mr. Fein, I am not Jewish. But, like any New Yorker, my speech is peppered with Yiddish expressions. Thanks for your web site, I stumbled into it today. It's great!!! Now! How's this for chutzpah? A Scotsman offering a Yiddish expression to the publisher of a Yiddish dictionary, for inclusion in his lexicon: " Yiddisher hund " - One who turns his host's China tea set bottoms-up to check the hallmark of the maker.
