     Jewish Thoughts on Capital Punishment
After reading a lawyer's analysis of Jewish thoughts on capital punishment I must ask how the lawyer would feel if it was his immediate family who was murdered by the person being executed. It's is easy to feel sympathy for a person unless it hits home, and by them your thoughts change. Would he also have spared Hitler or Saddam from execution? After all they were human beings too.
Editor-> Thank you for your thoughts on this always controversial issue, Sam. I personally have changed my views on capital punishment over the years. When I was younger I was a strong supporter of the death penalty, but I have become a staunch opponent as I have gotten older. But, this is an issue never fails to attract controversy and insights. Thanks again for taking the time to voice your opinion. Michael
