Beware the strangling scarves

In the October issue of Good Housekeeping and many other magazines there are some photos, and scarf-wrapping directions, which are extremely dangerous. When a scarf is wrapped with the ends drawn through a loop, all anyone needs to do is grab those ends to strangle a wearer, perhaps paralyzing or killing him or her. The season leading up to year's end is a prime one for interpersonal crime. I urge anyone, male or female, who wears scarves for warmth and/or fashion, to please be careful about the way you wrap this accoutrement. Always be sure that should the ends become pulled it will not have the same effect as a tightening noose.

Enjoy the beautiful fall and winter seasons looking fashionably warm safely.
